Laser Hair Removal

Anyone who is tired of perpetually shaving, cutting or waxing the perennial and unsightly hair on certain areas of the body is ready for laser hair removal. Both men and women seek laser hair removal to have superfluous or unwanted hair removed. Hair removal is commonly done on legs, arms, lip, chin, back, underarm, bikini line, and chest.

Laser hair removal works by passing a light beam (laser) through the skin. The laser targets dark pigment, called melanin, in hair. The targeted hair follicles (where hair growth originates) absorb the light and are heated, then damaged and epilated (or loosened from the root). In most cases, laser hair removal slows hair regrowth, but it takes several treatments to provide an extended "hair-free" period. In some cases, hair may grow back in a treated area, but there won't be nearly as much hair as before and will likely be less noticeable and bothersome.
